Highland Cattle Information Sired by Jock 2nd of Stonecliffe (an offspring of Jock 28th of Leys imported from the Leys Castle of Inverness in the 1980's by Edward Pflueger of Kiywanna Farm, New York)
In 1996 Jock 28th was purchased and destroyed by the USDA as part of their B.S.E. Prevention effort along with some other fine Highlands. The results of the brain examinations of these animals was of course negative, but the bureaucracy was satisfied.
The Dam of Jock of Dundonald, Andana's Claire - traces her fine characteristics to Gille Buidhe of Benmore. Gille Buidhe was imported to Canada in 1982 he earned the nickname
'Gene Machine' prior to his unfortunate demise in 1995.
